In 2014, a group of members of Valhall Lodge 6-025 in San Diego, CA worked together to earn their Cultural Skills Pins for Norwegian Literature. Since the founding of Sons of Norway, helping other individuals and communities has been a core value of the organization. Beginning over a decade ago, Sons of Norway introduced the Adopt A School program to encourage lodges to volunteer in their local schools.
